How To Install A Ceramic Coating

Start in a covered area.

1. Wash the surface thoroughly with Balance or Spray Wash
2. Polish with Pro Shine (diminishing compound) for standard correction, or Pro Cut (non-diminishing) for heavier paint damage
3. Strip all residue with Panel Prep
4. Apply Gold using a Microfiber Applicator. Once leveled, the coating cures quickly.

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer made of silicon dioxide that molecularly bonds to paint to create a durable, glossy, and highly hydrophobic protective layer.

What types of damage will a ceramic coating protect my car from?
It shields your paint from UV rays, oxidation, bird droppings, bug splatter, and chemical stains while making the surface incredibly easy to clean.

What does a ceramic coating NOT protect against?
A ceramic coating cannot prevent physical damage like highway rock chips, deep key scratches, or severe parking lot dings.

Do I need a garage to apply Gold?
No. Gold is formulated to handle warm, humid conditions, including mobile applications done outside of a climate-controlled space. Make sure to apply in a covered space.

What kind of maintenance is required to keep the coating working perfectly?
You should hand-wash the surface every two to four weeks using the two-bucket method and a pH-neutral coating shampoo while avoiding automatic car washes and harsh chemicals.
